He was a scholar at the famous Sangeet Research Academy of Kolkata. He hails from Ghatanji, a small town in Vidarbha Maharashtra. He was born in 1973, in a family of music loving educationists. His initial training in music was under the Guidance of eminent Gurus, Shri Bhalerao, D.V Panke, Pandita Sumantai Choudhari and Bhushan Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan.
