Silent Rock. This is what we did between takes. The ’game’ of silent rock consists of a hearty rock, preferably round, being either thrown or tossed (directional trickery) at one of the misfits sitting next to you. Your aim is to get them to drop it. If they do they do either 25 sit ups, push ups, or squats. Mind you everyone carries a 45 lbs pack wherever you go, and some a 25 lbs saw with that. The packs were weighed everyday to assure that nobody was cheating their weight. The only wild card was if the rock accidentally landed in your helmet (usually resting on the ground). Push ups were usually done in the middle of the group, therefore endangering you of further damage from said rock. Nobody, miraculously, ever lost a tooth.
