Forest Owlet :- Forest Owlet is an extremely rare and critically endangered species, they are similar to spotted owlet but much darker brown with whitish spotting with broad light wing and tail barring. A small, round-headed, dark brown owl with yellow irises. The habitat is very little known. Found to be diurnal in open, dry deciduous forest on low hills. There are very few places in Maharashtra where Forest Owlet is found, In Nashik it is found in wide Trimbakeshwar forest range.
