In the middle of the feudal era and the Bakufu (Shogunate), the school thrived under the direction of Morito Sandayu Tomotsune. His adopted son, Morito Sankyuguta, counted up to 7000 disciples in the whole country at its maximum. Then there was a decline during the Meiji restoration, and the transmission was interrupted in many clans. However, the Keishi Ryu school, created for the Police Force during the Meiji Era actually used some of its sword and Iai techniques. What remained of it in the present age was transmitted within the Sakura Clan by Kobayashi Tojuro, pupil of Morito Sandayu Kinsei and 14th representative of the school. After that, the sword fighting, Iai, Kama, Bo and Taijutsu techniques were transmitted to the present by Takeishi Kenso. --- CREDITS --- Footage by Seido Co., Ltd.: (en) (jp) (en) (fr) --- MUSIC --- All This by Kevin MacLeod () CC 3.0
