The only thing we knew about Myanmar before coming here was ancient Bagan and lots of incredible pictures with balloons flying over thousands of pagodas and temples. This area is a top attraction for tourists with its rich history that goes as far back as 9th century. You'd need at least 3 days to enjoy the atmosphere and visit the most incredible temples. Should you get bored of Bagan's temples, you can take a trip to mount Popa (~50 km and drive). On slopes of an extinct volcano there is a monastery and hundreds or even thousands of monkeys.
