Climate Immersiu Space - IDEAL BCN 2023

We developed Climate Immersive, an adaptation of our original mapping project, Climate. We had the opportunity to bring this immersive art piece to life, showcased during the Media Server Sessions at IDEAL Barcelona | Digital Arts Center in November and December 2023. Climate Immersive delves into the dichotomy of two potential futures, inviting viewers to contemplate contrasting visions. In one scenario, we envision a utopia where humanity has successfully mitigated climate change, fostering harmony with the natural world. Conversely, a dystopian future looms, where the consequences of unchecked climate change manifest in environmental catastrophe. At Onionlab, we advocate for a world where the modern utopia is one free from the ravages of climate change. Our narrative explores this paradigm shift through two parallel futures: a Utopia characterized by luminous hues and harmonious elements, juxtaposed with a Dystopia defined by harsh environmental conditions and desolation. Adapted for immersive 3D projection, Climate Immersive represents our commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and engaging audiences in thought-provoking experiences.
