The infamous Hindustani Jazz Sextet, often written about and rarely heard. This is one of a very few recordings where the audio and performances are intact and usable. This one comes from a gig at the Lighthouse on August 2, 1964. The personnel are: Don Ellis - trumpet Hari Har Rao - tabla, dholak, sitar Emil Richards - vibes Dave Mackay - piano Bill Plummer - bass Ken Watson - drums Written by Emil Richards. There were several studio takes of this as well, all with various shortcomings. It seems they were really hoping to release this as a single at some point. It's mostly written in 10 1/2 / 4. More simply, it's in 7/4 followed by 7/8--both 7's being divided 2,2,3.
