Welcome to the first of four features in this weeks’ Dungeon Synth Sunday – the day of the week where I slow the fiery furies of the past six days into a meditative session of cooling ambience, in the adjacent worlds surrounding black metal. My first experience for you this week is a recent album from Evergreen Roots, under their Windkeys Tapes imprint; the ever-ethereal, magically immersive, darkly whimsical Woodland Spells. The kind of music that stops time and opens a portal to mesmerising oneiric wonder. One of my most favourite projects from a favourite label and most fantastic person.
