Accordion Virtuosi of Russia Sun, Nov 8, 7pm The Lincoln Theatre Get ready for the biggest “squeeze play” this side of Nationals Park as the infectious, rambunctious, and altogether wondrous sounds of the Accordion Virtuosi of Russia fill the Lincoln Theatre. Founded in Leningrad in 1943 and now boasting dozens of master accordionists and an ace rhythm section of percussion, electric guitar, bass, and more, the Virtuosi amaze and delight their audiences with daredevil feats of keyboard and button prowess (as in Khachaturian’s “Sabre Dance” and Scott Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag”), lilting Strauss waltzes, an enchanting medley from West Side Story, and more. This fall, “fun” will be spelled “A-C-C-O-R-D-I-O-N”! Tickets: (202) 785-9727 or Co-presented with Lincoln Theatre.
