Asha Puthli: Only The Headaches Remain Full Album, Expanded Version (1982)

Asha Puthli was born in Bombay, India, and moved to New York in the late 60s before continuing to Europe where she signed with CBS and released a string of critically acclaimed albums where she mixed pop, jazz, funk, disco and soul with a touch of India. While her album L'Indiana (1978) found success in Italy, she did not achieve the commercial breakthrough she was hoping for in the rest of Europe and switched to German label Autobahn (Phonogram) in 1979 where she released the disco album 1001 Nights Of Love , working with Amanda Lear's collaborator Rainer Pietsch With disco going out of fashion by the turn of the decade, she & Pietsch recorded the LP I'm Gonna Kill It Tonight in 1980. The quirky new wave/rock album was commercially unsuccessful, and when her Fall Out Dust single failed to chart too the follow-up album Only The Headaches Remain was shelved by her label although it did see a Japanese release.
