Fox/Dog Hybrid Discovered In Brazil Scientists claim that this is the first time they have encountered such a cross-breed in the wild, and have named it dogxim. The creature was brought to the experts after he was hit by a car in 2021, but veterinarians couldn’t figure out what exactly was in front of them for a long time until they did tests. The animal turned out to have 76 chromosomes - foxes have 74 of them, while dogs have 78 - leaving the scientists to suggest that the new species could have produced offspring that may still be out in the wild. The beast refused to eat ordinary food, but caught live rodents for pleasure, and sometimes barked like a dog. Subscribe to RT Источник: RT News
