Here's my transcription of Fats Waller's Squeeze Me, QRS Piano Roll #3352. Composed in 1925, it was one of Fats' earliest published pieces, co-written and published by his good friend Clarence Williams. Squeeze Me was based off of an old blues tune called “The Boy In The Boat,“ which was often sang with suggestive lyrics. The lyrics were credited to Mr. Williams, but Waller's friend Andy Razaf had claimed that he had written the words. Once “The Boy In The Boat“ became “Squeeze Me“ it never lost those bawdy lyrics, and in Fats' 1939 recording, his unique vocals make the song quite humorous. The song is one of my favorite Waller tunes, and a lot of fun to play. Here's the original: Here's my transcription on Musescore: #fatswaller #stridepiano #pianotranscription
