Packard films are hard to find. In the Gone Autos Collection, I currently have only three TV commercials. And here’s one of them. This spot promotes three important Packard convenience features: power steering, Ultramatic Drive, and power brakes. The Ultramatic shot is interesting, because you get a quick look at a hill at the Packard Proving Grounds in Shelby Township, Michigan.

From Sweden comes this 1953 Volvo called The Carbonfiber PV (Kolfiber PVn). It has a 16V, 4 cylinder, 2192 cm3 (133 cui), 1050 hp volvo engine. From 0 to 275 km/h in in 402 meters (1/4 mile). It has run faster though.
