Arrangement, vocals and video by Farya Faraji. Galani Galaziani is a folk song from the area of Serres, Macedonia in Greece. I wanted the orchestration of this one to harken back to that of Greek music from a hundred years ago, with the Bouzouki and clarinet also being accompanied by now less widely used instrument like the Saz, the Oud, and the Kanonaki. I filmed the video during my three-week trip across Greece this month of May—ironically the home region of the song not being one of the places I visited.
