The Øksfjord Mountain Bivuac by Biotope - 372 meters above the sea level, Loppa community, Finnmark Alps, arctic Norway. This must be the most spectacular site we have designed for! Amazing to see the completed building, as imagined. The prosess of this architecture and destination development project in Loppa community began two years ago. Dream to reality was rather fast this time! The Finnmark Alps with its 200 mountain peaks and spectacular landscape is surprisingly unknown. This new shelter / bivuac was completed only a couple of days ago. The aim is to make this mountainous region more easily accessible, both for locals and visitors alike. The shelter is always open, and free for all to visit.
