Monastery Castle Bovourkhan is located to the south-west of the Harav village of the Askeran region, on the “Bovourkhan“ mountain - on the small platform on the left slope of the small valley stretching from the eastern side. From the beginning it had developed into a monastery, which for security considerations was fortified by a barrier wall adapting itself to the military-defense situations of the given period. The present structure corresponds to the XVII - XVIII cc.
