The Austrian Peace Run (September 11-14, 2023) commenced with the inauguration of a Sri Chinmoy Peace-Blossom monument at the 3-Country-Border Point of Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. This ceremony was presided over by the mayors of Slovakia and Hungary, as well as the Austrian representative from these neighboring villages/towns. Following the inauguration, the International Peace Run team embarked on a run to another Peace-Blossom 3-Border-Point: Austria-Hungary-Slovenia, which had been inaugurated by the founder of the Peace Run, Sri Chinmoy, in 2004. In total, there are now four Peace-Blossom border point monuments. The other two are Austria-Slovenia-Italy (1994) and Austria-Germany-Czech Republic (2001).
