In This Video We Are Looking At The August 2024 (240818) version of CachyOS , an Arch Linux- based GNU/Linux distribution focusing on speed and security optimizations, has been announced. While it is stated that the Cosmic desktop environment can now be used for installation, it is stated that the upstream version (Alpha 1) will be followed for packaging. While it is stated that the new version, which is configured on the Linux kernel, adds a script to handle secure boot more easily, it is also stated that the version containing KDE Plasma , mesa uses NVIDIA pacman -S linux-cachyos-nvidia CachyOS also comes with both graphical and command-line installers and provides a Firefox-based browser (called Cachy-Browser) with some security improvements and performance optimizations.
