Here's the first of a series of historic matches I'll be posting in the coming months. The Mozart of Table Tennis, Jan-Ove Waldner (SWE) playing against one of the smoothest players ever, Vladimir Samsonov (BLR). This match was played at the 2001 World Championships in Osaka, the last WTTC in which both the individual competition and the team event were held at the same time, the last WTTC in which the 21 point game was still in effect, and it was the first WTTC played with a 40mm ball. The video starts in game 1, 1-1. I must have forgotten to start the camera in time. Please subscribe. There's more to come.
