On the occasion of the release of “Doomed to Succeed: The Relationship from Truman to Obama“ by Davidson Distinguished Fellow Dennis Ross, the author joins with Thomas Donilon, former National Security Advisor to President Obama, to discuss relations today and the current state of the broader Middle East. The October 26 event was moderated by Executive Director Robert Satloff. In his book, Ross points out that there is more continuity in the current turbulence between Washington and Jerusalem than most analysts realize. And if the past is prologue, then the chances that Washington and Jerusalem will eventually find a way to deepen their partnership -- despite their current political differences -- remain high.
