Chelsy Davy, described by Prince Harry as his greatest love in his memoir “Spare,“ dated Harry for almost six years. Despite speculation about their marriage, Chelsy chose not to marry Harry due to her desire for independence and discomfort with media attention. Born to wealthy landowner Charles Davy and former Miss Rhodesia Beverley Donald, Chelsy pursued education in law and economics. She met Harry in childhood, and they began dating in 2004. Chelsy struggled with the press scrutiny that came with dating a prince. Although Harry proposed several times, Chelsy valued her freedom and did not want to conform to royal life. They parted as friends, with Chelsy attending Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle. In 2022, she had a son with hotelier Sam Cutmore-Scott and now runs a jewelry brand and luxury travel agency in Africa.
