Bandcamp: I picked up a copy of Nanoloop Mono for my Gameboy just before Christmas and have been waiting for a good opportunity to film something with it. While in St Ives recently I wandered behind the harbour wall at low tide and found a strange world had been uncovered by the sea, like some dungeon from a Zelda game. Obviously this was the perfect place to record my trusty DMG-01, with some help from my Zoom CDR 70 effects pedal. Nanloop Mono is an interesting software/hardware hybrid for the original Gameboy, the cartridge itself contains analogue filters and other stuff so that the Gameboys onboard sound engine is processed by this additional analogue circuitry - which is very cool frankly! All the music is written on Nanoloop then I processed it through the Zoom CDR 70 pedal running a chain of EQ, chorus, delay and reverb. This all then went to my Zoom H6 to be recorded. #portablesynth #nanoloopmono
