Paralympic champion sells her medals to support the Russian military fighting in Ukraine. A Russian athlete, an eight–time Paralympic swimming champion, decided to sell two of her gold medals to help the Russian soldiers who fight in the Special Military Operation and their families. She priced each of her awards at 60 million rubles ($650K). The champion’s support will be personally targeted. For example, some money will go to help wounded servicemen in need of rehabilitation and wives of motherland defenders, who are raising several kids. Elderly parents whose sons and daughters serve far away from home will get help, too.
