How to Dougie: The monastery is also known as the chicken head. Instructions 1. Start with your legs shoulder width apart. Do a very small step with your left foot, then do another. Repeat this with the right foot. Repeat with the left, then again with the right. 2. After you have this down, add a knee pivot inward every time you first step with a foot. Make sure that when you pivot your knee, also dip in that same direction with that hip. On each second step, straighten out the leg and hip again. 3. After you have this down, add in the arms. Keep your fists balled up throughout this dance move. Every time you do a knee pivot, raise that side's elbow up. During this, your other fist should be pointing towards that side. Adding Levels This dance is normally done while standing up straight, so to add another level to it, you can do the same moves while leaning down and slightly forward. Combination After doing the left foot, then the right, then left, then the right, then going down to the lower level and doing it all again.
