In this video, we visit an interesting mine in Nevada. It is a gold and silver mine that was first worked in the early 1900s and continued though 1935. There has been some more recent mining activity there since then. The winze shaft goes down approximately 150 feet with two drift levels. Down the winze, we found a homemade skip bucket, wood dynamite box, shovels and other tools. The top level is also interesting, with steel tracks winding through the drift and extensive stopes left behind on the steep mineral vein. There are also some open stopes.
