Gehlen comes to Japan, targeting Section Chief Tanaka. As expected, a proper original story makes for a solid script. It's a world apart from the nearly elementary school-level “Tetsujin 28“ that aired around the same time. The clever trick of figuring out a phone number from the length of the dial is effective. The overall mood is serious, but the small gags, like the organization's shooting competition, are also nice. However, the occasional awkward pauses in conversation scenes are bothersome. Gehlen's weapon is a machine gun that can fire 650 rounds per minute. It can also be used as a flamethrower. Eight Man, who is sensitive to heat, is knocked unconscious by this flamethrower. Later, after being captured, his exchange with Sachiko when he tries to somehow smoke a cigarette-shaped strengthening agent is amusing.
