Chinese-Hungarian business relations

In 2019, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary was celebrated. Hungary has the most frequent direct flights to China from the Central Eastern European region, with at least one departure each day. Moreover, from this year on, one can reach five Chinese cities from Budapest without transfer. China is Hungary’s biggest trading partner outside of the European Union, but it is also developing into an even more important FDI investor, as Hungary has become the Nr.1. location in CEE for Chinese foreign direct investments, while already having the highest Chinese FDI/inhabitant ratio.
