European politicians hold talks in South Africas coal belt, push for green shift

European diplomats met with officials and labor unions in South Africa's coal belt to advocate for a transition to green energy. While they assure locals that switching to renewable energy will not leave them destitute, many in the coal industry express concerns. Spokesperson for South Africa's National Union of Metalworkers, Phakamile Hlubi, tells RT that Europe is primarily focused on its own interests.
