Scenes of mundane magic and agricultural cyberpunk take place in the Chinese artist Akini Jing’s latest music video PLASTIC HEAVEN, directed by Ben Mullinkosson. This magical realist music video is the first of an updated firmware and cyborg version of Jing after going through a sort of metamorphosis. “Speaking with Ben, we discussed how I didn’t want to have a stereotypical cyberpunk music video with colourful neon lights…I wanted the scenes to be close to my daily life.
