Valter Percussion founder/designer/builder Valter Kinbom demonstrates his invention the Sundrum™ - a wooden tounge drum with a patented tuning system. Here Valter gives you some tips about how to handle the tuning magnets (patented system). The Sundrum™ and accessories can be purchased from the Valter Percussion webshop: In this video, the Sundrum™ was recorded using both the internal piezo system and the internal condenser microphone system (with a minimal amount of EQ and compression applied) plus with an external microphone above the instrument. We chose not to apply any reverb or delay, to give a “dry“ representation of the sound of the Sundrum™. (In the intro vignette, there is a small amount of reverb). © Valter Percussion, 2018.
