EDIT: I never in my wildest dreams thought any of my videos would reach so many people, and I'm very happy so many people still enjoy this older edit! Thank you all so much for the support!! It really means the world to me. And for those who like to comment that this is bad, I would ask to please check the uploaded date haha. This video was made years ago, and I have come a very long way with editing since then. While I would like to eventually remake this, I'm not sure when that'll happen if at all. So please keep the comments kind if you can. Everyone starts somewhere! - - - HD please! I don't think anyone will ever understand how insanely happy I am that I FINALLY finished this video. If anyone remembers this stone age “preview“, they'd probably have thought I never intended on actually finishing. I'll admit, I never thought I would myself, though I always wanted to. Mainly because, I never in a million years would ever DREAM to get so many views on a 40 second video, and I felt I owed it to all those who wanted to see it finished to do so. Now, you might notice the beginning here is quite different. Obviously, my editing style has changed ten fold since 2010, and I wasn't happy with how it turned out originally, so after like three different tries over the years to redo this video, I finally have the finished product. Thank you so much guys for all the support!! ♥ With that being said, no there aren't any flashes in this video. The main effects I used were chroma keying, pan cropping, and cookie cutters. This is because I wanted to give the full effect of the crossover and the storyline, as well as the complement of the song. I also do not have the slightest clue how to mask properly. I've tried before and it always looks too messy/boxy for my taste, so. xD Storyline: Spirit and Balto are racing against each other and having a great time until they come across a human camp. The men see a chance to gain two good hunting animals, and they chase after the two; both flee in response. Spirit tries a crazy idea and goes after them, attempting to knock them off. He manages to lose them and meet Balto again, but the humans weren't giving up. They managed to find Spirit but had not seen Balto yet. Spirit yelled at Balto and told him to flee, and Balto, being a loyal friend, would not leave his side. Balto followed him anyway, though Spirit had no idea. After another chase, Spirit is caught. He's thrashing about, trying to get free, when he kicks Balto by accident. Balto flies and hits a rock, seemingly killing him. Spirit does not even have time to mourn his death as the humans take him away. When he arrives at the humans' camp, he can't stop thinking about his friend. What the stallion does not know, however, is that as he was traveling, Balto awoke from unconsciousness. After tracking the horse's scent, Balto manages to get to Spirit's location, and the two break free together. Spirit is overjoyed at the fact that his best friend is not dead, though while they're celebrating, the humans spot them once more. Balto notices them first, but before they can run off again, Balto is shot and falls in the river, and Spirit goes after him, determined not to see Balto die for real. Though they go over a waterfall, Spirit manages to save them both. Balto's wound turns out to only be a scrape of the skin, so they pick up quick and continue running. They come to the edge of a cliff minutes later. Feeling trapped, they have no choice but to jump. Once they make it over, they gain the human's respect, and the two are free to live as best friends without worries for the rest of their lives. The End~ (: Song: What I've Done (c) Linkin Park Footage: Balto & Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron Program: Sony Vegas Pro 11.0 ~ Days to make (or in this case, years, LOL.), seconds to comment! ♥
