During the Second World War, there were many men who fought for power inside of Hitler''s inner circle. But after the conflict many of these men who survived were brought to the Nuremberg Trials where they had various sentences. Some were sentenced to death being executed by American executioner John C Woods, but others were given prison sentences and these men were then sent to Spandau Prison for their imprisonment. Those Nazis who received imprisonment at Spandau were Karl Donitz (the former President of Nazi Germany and Hitler's successor), Albert Speer (Hitler's Architect), Rudolf Hess (The Deputy Fuhrer), Walther Funk (The Reich Minister of Economics), Baldur von Schirach (The Hitler Youth Leader,) Erich Raedar (An Admiral) and Konstantin von Neurath.
