Though, we can hear you asking ‘what is a kamikara?’ Kamikara is a kind of papercraft, ‘kami’ stands for paper and ‘karakuri’ stands for trick or machinery. Some just utilize intricate motion, using only cardboard. So, how do you build one? Well, all you need to build a kamikara is a paper template and some time on your hands. Haruki Nakamura from Japan specializes in creating kits for kamikara toys, and with his kits, any promising DIYer only has to cut and fold the templates to make the magic happen. Sadly, Haruki only ships inside Japan for the moment. That’s why we’re here to inspire you on your journey.
