Serge Lifar - ‘ L’Après-midi d'un faune' This is film of Serge Lifar performing ‘L’Après-midi d'un faune' in an outdoor setting, with a Grecian Temple in the background. Lifar would never have seen Vaslav Nijinsky perform the ballet and the choreography only comes from accounts of it from other dancers. The ballet originally premiered on 29 May 1912 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris with Nijinsky in the title role. The talking head is Nina Vyroubova.
