Technical Jargon: 2D Navier Stokes Convection Rayleigh Number = 10^6 Prandtl Number = .7 This is a simulation of air flowing around a box that is heated at the bottom boundary and held cold at the top boundary. There are impermeable walls on both sides. The air is transferring heat around the box via conduction convection but it is trying to suppress the convection. The temperature is color coded: red for hot and blue for cold. You can think of it as heating up air and watching it swirl around. If you have any suggestions or recommendations on how to improve the simulation please leave a comment!
