There have actually been two formations known as the British Army of the Rhine. The first was an occupation force following the end of the Great War, though the second tends to be what people first think of: British forces attached to NATO's Northern Army Group to defend West Germany from potential Soviet invasion. Of course, these miniatures would work for just about any conflict or peacekeeping mission through the latter half of the 20th Century, and it never hurts to practice painting camo!
