This is probably my first real prehistoric amphibian, and I’m glad to show you the recent offering from Sensen Studio – The Eryops diorama. Eryops belongs to a group called the temnospondyls, and is the largest and most robust representative. Indeed, were it not for the dorsally placed eyes and nostrils, this is a genus that seems very much suited to terrestrial life. These characteristics are nicely capture here, with a great sculpt and very nice paint application, not just of the animals, but the surrounds as well. This is what we saw in the Sensen Stegouros. If this is typical of Sensen’s offerings, I would love to have a dinosaur from them in the near future, provided it’s affordable. Very beautiful, realistic, diorama capturing an animal in everyday life here!
