🇱🇻 🇷🇺The vice-mayor of Riga was outraged by Russian folk songs at the city Christmas market. Edward Ratnieks said that this is not a municipal event and promised to “carefully analyze” the agreement with those who organized it. He added that authorities “will work to prevent such situations.” The official later tried to calm the outraged people: he emphasized that “there were no texts praising Russia“ and the language of communication at the fair was Latvian.
