Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived at the site of the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, a TASS correspondent reports. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva greeted Russia’s top diplomat with a handshake at the entrance to the Museum of Modern Art, where the summit is about to begin. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Lavrov will address sessions on combating inequality, hunger, and poverty, as well as on the reform of global institutions. She added that the minister is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral talks on the sidelines of the event. Source: TASS Russian news agency
