Many moons ago Friendly Robotics commissioned Cummfy Banana Ltd to create a street legal 3:1 scale replica of the second generation of their robotic lawnmower product Robomow. It is based on a Rover V8 built buy Wheeler Dealer's Paul Brackley mated to a uprated VW Type2 four speed transaxle and rear suspension with custom front wishbone suspension, tubular chasis and fibreglass bodywork. It seats three (a bit like Gordon Murray's brilliant McLaren F1 car) with the driver in the middle and a passenger either side. The dials and stereo etc are mounted into the headlining and the clam door is opened by an on-board pneumatic system. It even had a tow bar but, unlike the real product, it didn't cut grass! This short video was taken some time ago, just before the £ custom windscreen was wrecked by a gravel lorry spilling some of its load!
