Indus Valley Civilization Unknown the few images that flash before our eyes when we hear the name of Indus Civilization, there must be a small bronze statue called Dancing Girl. During the excavation season of 1926-27, Daya Ram Sahani recovered this idol from a house in Block 7 of HR area of Mohenjodaro. Deep in the maze of streets and alleys at the southwest end of town, the little house didn't seem to have belonged to anyone of any importance. The statue is made of bronze. This statue was created using the 'lost wax' technique. The statue is of a young girl. The appearance is slim, there is no trace of fat on the body.
