Today I'm sharing my digital painting process for creating this Arctic-inspired landscape Square Lens painting, titled “Blue Ice, Red Sails“. In this landscape speedpainting, I'm using a mix of digital photobashing techniques here in Photoshop (with my wacom tablet), along with a fair amount of over-painting to get rid of the base photo-textures as much as I can (although I like a nice blend of the two), and just good ol'regular digital painting. I'm a huge fan of speedpainting, as it's a fun and a great technique to get your ideas down, and get them down well. Digital methods obviously speed this up tremendously, and this is where photobashing comes into play. If you've wondered how I photobash while still retaining a semi-painterly look, then definitely stick around and watch the whole thing. ◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽️◽ʊ
