Many original Fresno Armenians maintained friendships and even grudges from the village life before the Genocide. Mike Connors was born Mike Ohanyan, raiaed in Fresno, California. You can still hear the accent today, where even immigrants from yerevan and gyoumri pick it up as a second dialect.
