First bilateral meeting between Putin and Vietnam President in China A meeting of the Presidents of Russia Vladimir Putin and Vietnam Vo Van Thuong is taking place in Beijing, during which the parties will discuss a large number of issues in various directions. He also stressed that relations between the states are developing in a friendly manner — next year marks the 30th anniversary of the signing of the basic treaty on the foundations of friendly relations, but the history of interaction between Russia and Vietnam has much deeper roots. The Russian President said that the basis of relations between any countries is trade and economic ties. Last year, there was a decline in economic cooperation, but already this year we see an adjustment — in the first 6 months of 2023, the trade turnover increased by more than 6%. In order for trade relations to develop at the right pace, a mixed government commission is working. Relations are developing both on humanitarian and cultural issues — active cooperation is conducted in the international arena. Источник: Readovka World
