Level II radar time lapse from the DVN radar from around 10am to around 5pm local time. Winds as high as 110mph occurred with this around the Cedar Rapids Iowa area. All along the path winds gusted between 60-90mph from Iowa through Illinois, and into Indiana. The derecho actually started back in South Dakota well before the beginning of this time lapse, and raced through Nebraska and into Iowa during the morning of 8/10/20. As the derecho approached Chicagoland it dropped 15 tornadoes. You can see the tornado reports suddenly pop up during a portion of the animation.
