Procnias albus, commonly known as white bellbird, might have the loudest bird call ever measured. Researchers recorded Type 1 mating songs at an average of 108.9 ± 2.3 dB with peaks at 116.7 ± 1.0 dB and Type 2 mating songs at an average of 116.6 ± 3.6 dB with peaks at 125.4 ± 1.7 dB.
