The spooky Halloween season is in full effect and we have another horror title just for you! This time we take a look at the indie horror game Apartment 1406. It is made by a single developer and though it might look a bit cliche in the beginning, it actually has a lot going for it and provides way more twists and turns than you initially expect. The game slowly starts out as an adventure with us having to solve various puzzles and finding keys in order to progress. There is a clear homage to classic horror survival games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Even enemy types and imagery like the door in chains are used as an homage in this game. But it won't be long before you find yourself a weapon and there are more of them in the game than I thought. The game is fairly short, but every few minutes it threw something new at me that I did not see coming. It does feel a bit all over the place and incoherent with these various random items you find and the story is a bit confusing too. Nevertheless
