This webinar “Bioenergy and the New City: The Oxhydroelectric Effect Revolution Unlimited, Clean and Peer-to-peer Energy Production, Distribution and Policy“ by the International Society of Biourbanism (Mediterranean Biourbanism series) is devoted to a revolutionary discovery and its impact on cities. The speaker is Roberto Germano, a physicist specialized in quantum mechanics and the physics of water. He discovered the oxhydroelectric effect ( ) and patented a system to leverage it in order to produce electricity from environmental infrared energy. He is the CEO of Promete, a technology transfer company of the Italian National Research Council, and of Oxhy, a company devoted to making the oxhydroelectric-based production of clean and unlimited energy available on a mass scale. Roberto is also a “cultural-political“ activist. He has published several writings on experimental physics, and contributed dissemination books such as Fusione Fredda [Cool Fusion] (three editions, 2000, 2003 and 2011); Scienza e democrazia [Science and Democracy] (2003); Aqua (2006), and Il Trasferimento Tecnologico [Technology Transfer] (2010). The discussion features Stefano Serafini, ISB director, philosopher and psychologist; Sergio Los, IUAV University of Venice, father of the Italian bioclimatic architecture, and Martha María Ríos, Agricultural Engineer specialized in Rural Development and Sustainable Agriculture.
