This hymn is an appeal to the Goddess-Wolf, the Mistress of forests and animals, known for mentions in the old Russian and old Lithuanian Chronicles. Miadziejna was especially honored by the king of Great Lithuania Mindovg, as she was not only the Mistress of the Forests, but also a proud inspirer of warriors and escortess of priests. To this day on the territory of Kryvia-Belarus there are cult stones with ancient prints of traces of wild animals. They were considered the earthly embodiment of the spirit of the great Goddess.
