He studied the violin & classical music from 2009-2016 and started producing jazzy instrumental hip-hop in 2012, while also playing in orchestras. In addition to his parents, who are both musicians, he cites hip-hop icons such as A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, and Madlib as key influences. Recognised as one of Germany’s most in-demand producers, the self-taught bedroom beatmaker has built his reputation around Europe and the world, led by his seductive blend of Jazz, Soul, and hip-hop-influenced grooves. Taking great inspiration from London’s Jazz scene, he has released multiple albums and previously collaborated with the likes of MF DOOM, Alfa Mist, Kofi Stone, HNNY, Blue Lab Beats, Biig Piig, Jerome Thomas, and others. His most recent full-length solo album, „Close Distance, “ has been featured on BBC Radio, Okayplayer, interFM Tokyo, and Vogue Italia. He’s also a passionate record collector and has recently played vinyl sets at audiophile bars in Berlin (Anima & Unkompress) and Japan (The Room and Tangle). “There’s not much I love more than the sound of a Fender Rhodes. That’s why I decided to dedicate my mix to this beautiful instrument.
